Connect with awareness

Safety is a set of choices, not a badge.

MicoCam provides paths to end, report, or block, but no live social product can guarantee another person's behavior. Use boundaries, protect identifying information, and act early when something feels wrong.

01

Before and during

Keep control of what the other person can learn or influence.

Remove addresses, documents, work screens, school details, and notification previews from the frame. Share interests before identifiers. A person who respects you will not need immediate access to your accounts, money, or private material.

Common pressure patterns include urgent financial stories, requests for verification codes, threats involving captured media, and insistence on moving to a less accountable channel. End the interaction instead of negotiating with the pressure.

  • →Never share passwords or one-time codes
  • →Do not send money or financial access to a new contact
  • →Assume anything visible on camera could be captured
02

When something happens

Protect first, document carefully, and use the right channel.

End the call, stop replying, and block when continued access creates risk. Use reporting to give the product team the category and context needed to review behavior, while avoiding unnecessary copies of sensitive material.

For immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate trusted person. A website report is not an emergency-response channel. Preserve only what is lawful and necessary for a report.

  • →Stop the interaction before gathering extra evidence
  • →Do not forward intimate or harmful material to friends
  • →Use local emergency resources for immediate danger
