Shared standards

A better community begins with ordinary respect.

MicoCam works when people can explore, speak, decline, and leave without pressure. These standards translate that principle into behavior across profiles, live video, follows, and messages.

ConsentSpecific, ongoing, and reversible
RespectNo hate, harassment, threats, or coercion
ContactSilence and blocks end the invitation
01

In the conversation

Treat attention as volunteered, not owed.

Start with language suitable for a new person. If someone declines a topic, asks to slow down, or ends the call, accept the decision without argument or retaliation.

Do not use sexual pressure, hateful content, threats, humiliation, financial manipulation, impersonation, or attempts to obtain account access. A playful tone never removes the need for consent.

  • →Ask before moving into sensitive topics
  • →Change course when the other person is uncomfortable
  • →Never punish someone for ending the interaction
02

After the conversation

Follow up once with context, then let the other person choose.

A thoughtful message refers to the real conversation and leaves an easy way to decline. Repeated contact after no response or a block is not persistence; it is a boundary problem.

Use reporting when behavior may violate the community rules, and block when you need to stop direct access. Do not organize harassment or publish private allegations as a substitute for the product process.

  • →Keep follow-up specific and low pressure
  • →Stop after a clear no, silence, or block
  • →Report facts without spreading private material

Community test

Before you send, ask

A short self-check prevents many avoidable harms.

  1. 01

Would this be appropriate as a first interaction with someone I do not know?

  2. 02

Did the other person actively agree to this topic or next step?

  3. 03

Can they decline without pressure, embarrassment, or punishment?

  4. 04

Am I sharing someone else's private information or content?

  5. 05

Will I stop if they do not respond or if they block me?

Clear answers

Everyday standards

Can consent from one call carry into the next?

No. Treat consent as specific to the current action and easy to withdraw at any time.

What should I do after no reply?

Do not repeatedly message. Leave the invitation open and let the other person decide whether to return.

Where are the formal rules?

Use the current Community Guidelines for formal product rules. This page explains the practical behavior behind them.

The standard is simple

Leave people with as much control as you expect for yourself.

Respect creates the conditions for better conversation—and a clean exit when the connection is not right.
